Veysonnaz
Within The Valais region is situated Veysonnaz, a resort, which is a beautiful place to visit all year round.
During the winter months, the area plays host to skiers and snowboarders alike, who stay in Veysonnaz due to the guarantee of high quality snow, and also to take advantage of the 4oo km of piste within the region. This includes the famous world cup down hill run, The Piste de L'Ours.
Winter also provides a great number of other activities, which are enjoyable for the whole family. For example;

During the ski season, Veysonnaz comes to life after dark. With a select number of bars and restaurants, the majority of which are targeted towards family entertainment. The resort has both a safe and relaxed atmosphere, and is a good place to enjoy an evening out with friends and family.

One huge benefit of this area is that sunshine is guaranteed over 300 days of the year. In summer, the area is idyllic for a number of activities, all of which provide endless opportunities to take in the amazing scenery of both Veysonnaz and the surrounding Valais region.
- Hiking: Over 300 km of selected routes
- Mountain Biking: 70 km terrain broken into 5 different routes
- Walking: Great walking opportunities are all around in this area, however, there are also specific guided walks both up in the mountains and on the Mont Fort glacier.
- Golf: The area boasts 6 courses
- Climbing
- Paragliding
- Horse riding

Holidaying during the summer months also provides the opportunity to enjoy some real Swiss traditions. For example, there is the yearly ritual of the Swiss farmers moving their cattle to graze in higher pastures. Also, by attending one of the 'Valais evenings,' you can take part in activities such as cellar-visits, bread-making, cheese-making, and fruit-picking.
Travel
There are a number of options available when travelling over to Veysonnaz. These include:
- Driving over. This involves catching the ferry/tunnel across the channel.
- Flying. The plane lands in Geneva , and you would then need to travel a further 2 hours by car/train.
- Train through France .

- A photo will be needed for passes lasting longer than 3 days.
