HISTORICAL BACKGROUND
The castle has actually been built in the middle of the 16th century, after the medieval castle had burnt down. The nobles, who owned it until the beginning of last century were linked internationally to most of the European noblesse and this castle witnessed many glamorous festivities and historical encounters.

Ever since the beginning of last Century it was being used as a hotel and 1977 it was transformed into a seminar, banquet and holiday hotel and just recently there was a wellness section built into it.

EVENTS
Total of 1200 events per year, in addition to many seminars, conferences and day meetings of companies etc. There is also a very active cultural programme throughout the year with highlights from the world of music (classical concerts / jazz / blues), theater, dance, literature, gastronomic weeks etc.
