About Wengen

Wengen (1274 m) - is a public car free, traditional yet trendy holiday resort lying on a sheltered, sun-soaked terrace, 400 metres above the picturesque Lauterbrunnen Valley. The fantastic surrounding scenery is dominated by the dramatic Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau massif. Summer

Located in the heart of Switzerland, Wengen is the central starting point for unforgettable excursions. For example to the Männlichen (mountain in front of our door), the Jungfraujoch - Top of Europe (the highest altitude train station on 3454m) or the Schilthorn with Piz Gloria (the highest situated rotating restaurant of the Alps on 2970m).

Culture: In honour of Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy Mendelssohn music week takes place each year in August. He visited Wengen in 1842 on 21 August and drew the place Wengen with the Jungfrau in the background. In August 2004 the Mendelssohn memorial place was built in Wengen and inaugurated solemnly.

Winter

The Jungfrau Region Top Ski is in winter the ideal starting point. The ski resort Kleine Scheidegg - Männlichen with the famous downhill ski race from the Lauberhorn and Eigergletscher and a lot of red and blue runs which won't let anybody miss out on skiing.

The resort belongs to the most attractive and popular winter sport regions in Switzerland. In January the international ski race takes place, probably the most spectacular World Cup - race in the whole ski circuit. Also non-skiers have chosen the place for relaxation and peace-fresh air and especially long sunshine duration guaranteed in Winter.

Located 5 minutes walking distance from the train station directly at Ski slopes,  these apartments have been constructed to highest standards. There is a swimming pool (summer use) next to the apartment building, which is in a calm location but however in the centre of Wengen.
